Justin DeWitt is a seasoned educational leader with more than twenty years of experience strengthening schools and expanding opportunities for students. He holds advanced degrees in educational leadership and has:

Cross County Community Schools – Budget Development and Review
  • Collaborated with Superintendent Brent Hollinger to analyze the 2024–25 district budget and valuation process, and the process of developing the 2025–26 budget line by line.
  • Reviewed the Annual Financial Report (AFR), staff salary schedules, and expenditure trends to understand district-wide financial operations and revenue sources.

  • Completed 25 hours of shadowing two mentor superintendents with a focus on district budgeting processes, cash flow management, and budget forecasting.
  • Applied learning from the Budget and Finance in Education course with Dr. Mike Seih to connect theory with real-world district budgeting practices.
